Covid-19 has been a wake-up call for most of us, or at least a reminder of what’s important in life. Our routines and life can be taken away in a moment. It isn’t about “doing, doing, doing”, but about enjoying every second that we get to breathe. Let’s make the best out of it then! Don’t you think?
My mottos to live by have always been “Enjoy life” and “Help others”. And these three months of quarantine have only strengthened what I already stood for.
In my country of origin, Spain, we don’t live to work, rather we work to live. I even recall my aunt Mercedes telling me “Naima, life isn’t going to be over tomorrow. Slow down!” That’s how committed I’ve always been to my motto, haha!
So, you can only imagine the shock I suffered when I moved to Los Angeles and saw how busy everyone was all the time… Including the weekends! And how most people weren’t satisfied with their lives.
After a few years of observing our society, I finally realized how I could put my mottos into service. And even knowing that I’d be swimming against the current, I made my purpose to help people have a better quality of life.
Best way to do that? Through my work. I opened my concierge and errand service company (3 years ago already!), and the rest is history. I’m happy to say that we’re achieving this goal, and that numerous people in Los Angeles are getting more time and less stress in their lives in a regular basis.
I’m sharing this today as a way to connect with you in a deeper level. Guess what happens now? Yes, it’s your turn to share so I know more of you!
I’d love to hear who you are, what you do, what you stand for, what is that thing or things that fire you up.
Let’s have fun with it… and ENJOY the rest of your week!
Much LOVE
P.S. The man in the photo? My dad! He REALLY knows how to enjoy life!
