It’s October!

I don’t know about you, but throughout the years I’ve come to enjoy fall so much! And it’s a funny thing to say, considering we live in Los Angeles where we don’t get much of it. But I did feel it this time: the sunlight, the smells of nature, and the crisp air. Until I realize it’s also the busiest time of the year… omg, the holidays!

Houston, we have a problem!

Shopping, family reunions, children, cooking, costumes… Do you have a plan? How are you going to do it all? Relax, it’s so much simpler than you think.

Ask for help, it’s okay

I get you 100%. You don’t need help, right? You can do it all, and I’m sure you can. But what’s the price you’re willing to pay for it? And I’m not talking monetarily. I used to run around like you, doing, doing, and doing. And what did I get in return? Exhaustion, exhaustion, and exhaustion. However, I re-learned life is priceless, and I don’t want to miss those special moments that are so worth it and that never come back (like enjoying the first October leaves with your newborn – I had a blast with my son 11 years ago as shown in the picture). Studies show that successful people ask for help. And that’s you! Read about it in this article from Fortune Magazine, http://fortune.com/2014/08/28/how-asking-for-help-actually-helps-you/
Delegate both at work and at home. And hire other professionals to do the things that they’re best at, so you have all the time in the world to do what you love.

Remember the holidays are to be enjoyed

Don’t stress about the holidays. Build those memories instead. The ones that one day you’ll remember, and will put a smile on your face. Celebrate, eat, drink (in moderation), and above all, laugh. Because at the end of the day, that’s what empowers you and makes you feel alive. Besides, who doesn’t love to laugh til it hurts?

Thank you so much for reading! Tips on getting your quality time back will keep pouring on a monthly basis.
